Defending boys champion, Munro College move into this season's final with a 1 - 0 victory over Jamaica College in the first semi-final today. All three games on today's fixture of the ISSA/JHF Under-19 Schools Hockey Competition were decided on penalties after ending in scoreless draws at the end of regulation time.
Campion College defeated Immaculate conception 2 - 0 to place seventh in the competition. Papine got by defending champion, St. Andrew, 2 - 1 in the first semi-final and Excelsior had a 2 - 1 victory over Alpha Academy in the other. On Tuesday March 3, St. Andrew will play against Alpha Academy at 2:30pm for third place and at 3:30pm Papine High and Excelsior will meet in the finals.
The competition continues on Friday February 20 with St. Hughs versus Queens at 1:30pm for the 5th place in the girls section of the competition. At 2:30pm defending boys champion, Munro College will play against Jamaica College in the first semi-final and at 3:30pm Tivoli High take on Papine in the other semi-final

Jamaica College moved into the semi-finals of the 2009 ISSA/JHF Under-19 Schools Hockey Competition with a 1 - 0 victory over Wolmers with a Jonte Johnson goal. They will meet defending champions Munro College who defeated Tivoli Gardens 2 - 0 in today's last game with goals from Selvin Rose and Shea Chambers. In the first game, Omar Nelson's goal gave St. Andrew Technical a 1 - 0 victory over Excelsior.
The competition continues tomorrow with cross-zone games in the girls section. St. Hughs play against Immaculate Conception at 2:30pm and Campion versus Queens at 3:30pm.

Alpha Academy secured a semi-final spot in the 2009 ISSA/JHF U19 Schools Hockey Competition today with a 1 - 0 victory over Papine High in their Girl's Zone B encounter.
In Girl's Zone A action, St. Andrew took all nine preliminary round points by defeating Excelsior 2 - 0.
A brace from Johnardo Edwards gave Mona a 2 - 0 victory against Kingston College in the lone Boy's game in today's fixture.
The competition continues on Monday with St. Andrew Technical against Excelsior at 1:30pm, Wolmers versus Jamaica College at 2:30 and at 3:30pm Munro College versus Tivoli Gardens

Papine High completed their Boy's Zone B preliminary round fixture in the 2009 ISSA/JHF U19 Schools Hockey Competition with a 1 - 0 victory over Jamaica College. They now have 5 points, 2 less that zone leaders Wolmer's and 2 more than Kingston College & Jamaica College, all of whom have 1 game remaining in the preliminary round.
The other two games on today's schedule, Immaculate vs Campion in Girl's Zone B and Excelsior vs Campion in Boys Zone A, ended in goalless draws.

Munro College and Alpha Academy moved closer to a place in the semi-finals of this year's ISSA/JHF Under-19 Schools Hockey Competition with victories in the preliminary round today.
Defending boy's champion, Munro College began the day with a 5 - 0 victory over Campion College. Alpha Academy then defeated Immaculate Conception, 1 - 0. Munro College then returned with a 2 - 0 victory over Excelsior.

Papine High boys registered their first victory in this year's ISSA/JHF U19 Schools Hockey Competition, defeating Mona High 2 -0 through goals from Tevin Norton and Warrick Blake.

Excelsior Girls and Tivoli High registered wins on day 5 of the ISSA/JHF Schools Under-19 competition to place themselves in contention for a semi-final place.
In the first game today, Excelsior High defeated Queens, 3 - 0 with two goals from Krystal Barrett and one from the stick of Jamilia Pennie. The second game was a closer affair with Diego Fogo's brace giving Tivoli High a 2 -1 victory over Campion College who got it's lone goal through Stephen Cross.
The final game was a 1 -1 draw between Alpha and Campion College girls. Jhaniel Johnson netted for Alpha and Danielle Miller for Campion College.
The competition continues Monday February 9 with three games.

St. Andrew High now leads the Girls Zone A of the ISSA/JHF Under-19 Schools Hockey competition with maximum six points from two games after defeating St. Hughs 4 - 0 in the first game played today. Two goals each from Kysha Maitland and Stephanie Carter secured the victory for the defending champions.
In Boy's competition Tivoli Gardens High through a brace from Kevin Dixon earned a 3 - 0 win against Excelsior and in the last game for the day, Campion College through two goals each from Kimani Durrant and Stephen Cross overcame St. Andrew Technical High, 4 - 0.

In the first game a hat-trick from Crystal Cox and a brace from Kysha Maitland guided St. Andrew to a 8 - 0 victory over Queens High.
