Abigail Lumsden, Kimberly Shaw and Monique Vassell converted their penalties to St. Andrew a 3 - 0 victory.

St. Andrew High is the 2009 ISSA/JHF U16 Schools Hockey Girl's Champion
St. Andrew High captured the 2009 ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey girl's champions in a penalty shoot-out after playing to a goalless draw with Excelsior High after regulation and extra-time play. Abigail Lumsden, Kimberly Shaw and Monique Vassell converted their penalties to St. Andrew a 3 - 0 victory.
Earlier Papine High defeated Alpha Academy, 4 - 0, for third place with goals from Samantha Jones, Trudy-Ann Knight, Tashana Edwards and Shakira Airey.
The Under-14 competition will begin in May with a one day rally on the first. Munro College and Alpha Academy are the defending boy's and girl's champions respectively.
Munro College are ISSA/JHF U16 Schools Hockey Champions - 2009
Munro College crowned themselves 2009 ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey champion with a Selvin Rose goal in sudden death extra time in today's final against Jamaica College. The teams played to a goalless draw during regulation time.
Earlier Papine High defeated Tivoli High 2 -1 in a penalty stroke competition to take third place after both teams played to a 1 - 1 draw during regulation time. Carl Campbell netted for Papine and Jahnil Manning got Tivoli's equalizer. In the penalty stroke competition Warren Blake and Roosevelt Rush converted for Papine and Abina Lawrence got Tivoli's only goal.
The competition concludes on Tuesday April 7 with the girl's 3rd place game at 2:30pm followed by the finals at 3:30pm.
March 31
Both games in today's ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition were decided with penalty strokes after ending regulation time in goalless draws. Queens' Lexiann Ricketts converted the only penalty in the 7th place game against St. Hughs. Campion College then took 5th place with a 2 - 1 victory over Immaculate Conception. Abigail Bernard and Danielle Carr netted for Campion College with Jessica Williams scoring for Immaculate Conception.
March 30
Munro College and Jamaica College will contest the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition Finals after contrasting victories in today's fixture. The first semi-final between defending champion Papine High and Munro College ended regulation play in a 1 - 1 draw, with goals from Luke Phillips (Munro) and Oshane Barker (Papine). In the resulting penalty stroke competition, Munro College outscored Papine 3 - 2 to book the first spot in the final. Warrick Blake and Roosevelt Rush scored for Papine whilst, Shea Chambers, Damali Morgan and Dwayne Wellington netted for Munro College.
In the day's second semi-final, goals from Olando Hyatt and Kishan Peralto gave Jamaica College a 2 - 0 victory over Tivoli High.
March 27
Defending champions, Papine High lost on penalty strokes to Excelsior, in Friday's first Girl's semi-final game, in the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition. The teams played to a goalless draw in regulation time sending the game to penalty stokes. Trudi Ann Knight converted for Papine High but goals from Ashana Clarke and Shana-Kay Gordon gave Excelsior a 2 - 1 victory and a place in the finals scheduled for Tuesday April 7. St. Andrew High captured the other final's spot with a 2 - 0 victory over Alpha Academy. Kamille Griffiths and Demi Nicholson scored for St. Andrew High.
In the day's first game defending boys champion, Papine High with a Carl Campbell goal, defeated Excelsior High, 1 - 0 to top Zone A and earn a semi-final spot.
The competition continues on Monday March 30 with the boys semi-finals. Papine High play against Munro College at 2:30pm then Jamaica College vs. Tivoli Gardens at 3:30pm.

Jamaica College, with goals from Dario Armstrong and Jonte Johnson, defeated Munro College, 2 - 0, in the final game today, in the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition to complete their preliminary round fixture with the maximum 12 points. Earlier, St. Andrew Technical were 2 - 0 winners over Wolmers with goals from Mark Morris and Javon Reynolds. Campion College and Kingston College played to a goalless draw in the 2:30pm game.
The competition continues on Friday March 27 with three games. Papine High play against Excelsior High at 1:30pm to complete the Boy's Zone A fixture. The girl's semi-finals then follow with Papine High vs. Excelsior High at 2:30pm and St. Andrew High vs. Alpha Academy at 3:30pm.

All three games played on Tuesday MArch 23rd, in the ISSA/JHF Under-16 High Schools Hockey Competition ended with a 1 - 0 score line. Anthony Morris goal secured the victory for Tivoli over Excelsior in the first game. Immaculate Conception then defeated Queens with a goal from Jossette Walker. Gillian Walcott's goal gave Campion College the victory against St. Hughs.
The competition continues on Wednesday March 25 with three games. Wolmers play St. Andrew Technical at 1:30pm in Boy's Zone A. Campion College then play Kingston College at 2:30pm and Munro College and Jamaica College compete at 3:30pm to complete the Boys Zone B fixture.

St. Andrew High completed their preliminary round games with maximum points after defeating Excelsior High, 4 - 0, in Monday's first game of the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition. Simone Gardner scored two goals for St. Andrew with Demi Nicholson and Kamille Gardner netting one each.
Mona High and Kingston College then played to a 1 - 1 draw with goals from Shaves Williams (Mona) and Javed Wiggins (KC). In the third game Anthony Morris' brace gave Tivoli Gardens a 2 - 0 victory over St. Andrew Technical.
Jamaica College defeated Campion College, 3 - 0, with two goals from Delmar Williams and one from Jonte Johnson to complete the day's fixture.
The competition continues on Tuesday March 24 with three games. Tivoli Gardens play against Excelsior High at 1:30pm in Boy's Zone A. Two girl's cross-zone games then follow. Immaculate Conception vs. Queens at 2:30pm and St. Hughs vs. Campion College at 3:30pm

Alpha Academy earned a spot in the semi-finals with a 1 - 1 draw with Immaculate Conception in today's first game of the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition. Seana Kay Thompson scored for Alpha Academy and Rachelle Earle go Immaculate Conception's only goal in the tournament to date. Afhia Morris and Keisha Vassell score a goal each to give St. Hughs a 2 - 0 victory over Queens.

In today's lone game of the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition, Jamaica College defeated Mona High 3 - 1 to move into second place in the Boys Zone B section. Kishan Peralto netted twice and Jonte Johnson once for Jamaica College. Johnardo Edwards scored Mona High's goal.
The competition continues tomorrow March 20 with two games. The rescheduled Immaculate Conception vs. Alpha Academy game will be played at 1:30pm. Queens will then play against St. Hughs at 3:30pm.

Papine High booked themselves a spot in the girls semi-finals today with a 2 - 0 victory over Immaculate Conception in the last game on today's schedule of the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition. Trudy-Ann Knight and Tashana Edwards netted for Papine High. In the first game played today, Excelsior High and Wolmers Boys played to a goalless draw. Alpha Academy defeated Campion College 3 - 1 in the second game with a brace from Brittany Smith and one goal from Seara Kay Thompson. Gillian Walcott scored for Campion College.

St. Andrew High and Munro College recorded victories in today's ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition to take leadership of their respective zones. In the first game Munro College defeated Mona High 2 - 0 with goals from Luke Phillips and Geovanni Campbell. The second game saw St. Andrew High, 4 - 0 victors over St. Hughs with a brace from Kamille Griffiths with the other two coming from the sticks of Peighton Williams and Tenneisa Jackson. Munro's Selvin Rose then score three goals with support from Geovanni Campbell with one to see their school to a 4 - 0 victory against Campion College.
The competition continues on tomorrow March 18 with three games.

Papine High had a 3 - 0 victory over Wolmers in the second game played today in the ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition. Romaine Cole netted twice for Papine with Carlyle Grant scoring the other goal. The two girls games, Immaculate Conception vs. Campion College and Excelsior High vs. Queens ended in goalless draws.
The competition continues on tomorrow March 17 with three games.

Jamaica College defeated Kingston College 1 - 0 in today's first game of this year's ISSA/JHF Under-16 Schools Hockey Competition with a Kishan Peralto goal. Defending girls champion Papine then play to 2 - 2 draw with Alpha Academy to remain Zone A leaders. Trudy-Ann Knight netted twice for Papine with Sharmar White and Jodi-Ann Moncrieffe getting Alpha's goals. A brace from Carlyle Grant and a goal Orlando Henry gave Papine Boys a 3 - 1 victory over Tivoli Gardens who got their goal from the stick of Leon McLean in the final game.
The competition continues on Monday March 16 with three games.

Excelsior High girls with two goals from Ashana Clarke's stick and one each from Davia Morrison and Derona Rowe defeated Wolmer's 4 - 0 in today's first game in this year's ISSA/JHF U16 Schools Hockey Competition. The boys from Excelsior then played to a goalless draw with St. Andrew Technical. In the final game St. Andrew had a 1 - 0 victory over Queens with the goal from Chantel Rhone.
The competition continues on Friday March 13 with three games. Jamaica College vs. Kingston College at 1:30pm, Papine High (Girls) vs. Alpha Academy at 2:30pm and Papine High (Boys) vs. Tivoli Gardens High at 3:30pm.

Earlier Tivoli Gardens High and Wolmers Boys played to a 1 - 1 draw. The schedule game between Immaculate Conception and Alpha Academy has been postponed.
