SENIOR NATIONAL WOMEN'S SQUAD RESUMES TRAINING
The National Senior Women's Team resumed training on Monday March 10, 2008 at the Mona Astro Turf, under Head Coach Christine Bartley, who recently returned from a FIH High Performance Coaching course in Santiago, Chile.
The team restarts its programme after medaling silver at the 2007 PAHF Caribbean Cup held last November in Trinidad and Tobago. They are now preparing for the third Pan American Cup slated for February 1-14 th , 2009 scheduled for Hamilton, Bermuda.
The team has retained the entire silver medal team and has increased its list of invitees to National Training. The following is a list of the squad members requested to attend training sessions on Mondays at the Mona Hockey Facility:

Lady humming Birds strike Silver
The Lady Humming birds got the silver, after a hard fought match. With no score at the half Jamaica dug in for another hard fight in the second half. A field goal from Curlyne Wynn goal in the 61st. minute sealed the issue for Trinidad and Tobago.
Barbados came from behind to beat Guyana 2-1 for the bronze.

Doctor Birds lost 2-3 extra time.
The Doctor Birds came from behind twice to equalize but lost in extra time from a golden goal from Aderemi Simon who gave Guyana the victory. Both goals for Doctor Birds came from George McGlashen 23rd and 47th minutes. 
Trinidad and Tobago dubbed Barbados
4-1 for the gold.
