Interview with Manager Nicholas Brown
Good day Manager Brown, can you answer a few questions for us.
The Doctor Birds didn't do as well as expected what do you think contributed to their weak performance?
I would not say it was a weak performance, we had our chances to win before the final whistle and squandered our chances. Guyana was just more hungry for the victory in Overtime
As manager how do you feel about the level of this tournament?
The competition was very good although Trinidad is definitely the best team in the Caribbean region. We took a lot of lessons home from this tournament
Looking at the tournament, when will Jamaica be able to host this tournament in the future?
We are scheduled to host this tournament in 2009
Where do you see the men's programme going in five years?
We are at a crossroads now, and support is needed to expose the players to international competition, as the game is rapidly changing. If this happens, Jamaica can be in the top 4 at the next CAC games
In the next tournament, will the Federation be looking to bring in players from overseas? If not, why not. Was it considered for this trip?
It was considered but the players we have in the US at this time of year were in their mid semester exams
We would like to thank you for doing this interview with us. |
