Captain Milton Richards Memorial Hockey Tournament 2008 concludes with new champions

The Captain Milton Richards Memorial Hockey Tournament concluded on Sunday March 30, 2008 with new champions in each division. Gray Dogs, the only international team in this year's competition, captured the mixed veteran's division, defeating newcomers Tropical Circus 2 - 1 in the final.

2006 champions Tropics and St. Andrew played to a 1 - 1 draw in regulation time. In the penalty shoot out that followed, Tropics outscored their opponent 3 - 1 to lift the title.

JDF defeated defending champions Raiders United 3 -1 to claim the men's title for the first time. 

There were 163 goals scored in this years completions with Sophia Cooper, Giovanni Gordon and Leon Kerr leaders in women, men and mixed veterans sections respectively. The other sectional prize winners were MVP Men-Yandeen Wheatley (JDF), MVP Women-Shakella Elliot (Tropics), Best Goalkeeper Men-Sheldon Brown (JDF) and Best Goalkeeper Women-Pikiesha Powell (Tropics).
